There are two reasons to come to the Smokies for Winterfest – one obvious and one not-so-obvious.
Valentine’s Day and Saddle Up!
The post-holiday Winterfest season becomes a time for couples to put their busy lives on hold for a weekend or so and visit the Smoky Mountains at their utmost dignified. Almost all of nature is in hibernation, and the stillness with the majesty of the Smokies looming overhead (colors or not) combine to make one heck of a romantic ambience. So sweet is this ambience that a lot of visitors don’t even wait for the 14th to show up for their Valentine’s Day getaway, but Summit Cabin Rentals to accommodate their desires all the same (so long as those desires are amenities and hospitality, anyway.) Our list of romantic cabins can be found here. http://www.summitcabinrentals.com/1-bedroom-cabins/
And following that is more of a niche desire to be fulfilled, but it’s all kinds of fun all the same. With Saddle Up! the west comes east to Tennessee and from February 17-21 this year, all throughout Pigeon Forge we will have many Western music performers playing, sing-alongs, cookouts, workshops, and even a Cowboy Church on Sunday. If this sounds good to you (and why wouldn’t it?) check out the main Pigeon Forge page for Saddle Up! at http://www.mypigeonforge.com/events/saddle-up/
We hope to see you this month for these reasons or any others you might want to visit for! If you need anything, you know how to reach us.
