Loved the cabin! A couple things to address to make the stay even better for future guests- the kitchen did not have any oven mits. There were only 2 towels and they were pretty thin so we had an interesting time trying to get things out of the oven. Secondly, when we used the oven, it would start beeping and displayed F5 on the screen. We were able to turn it off and back on and it worked fine, just a heads up that it may need to be looked at. Lastly, in the king bedroom on the top floor, it looks like the wall was cut into to fix some plumbing in the bathroom. I wouldn’t have even noticed it except the panel kept falling out of the wall- a couple screws would do the trick!Overall we were extremely happy with the space and views the cabin gave us!

Loved the cabin! Lots of room for the whole cabin. We had an issue with the hot tub but it was handled in a quick manner.

Perfect for a large family. We had 9 adults and 8 kids. Close to everything. Highly recommend.

Perfect cabin for a large group vacation! The space was perfect for our multi family outing... close to all local activities, very well appointed and under 45 minutes for our Mtc trip to the Dragon & Hwy 129... Everyone wants to know how they got all the materials up the mountain to build such a beautiful home.... We had a couple of issues with getting some electronics to work etc... and we were so impressed with how quickly the Summit team had service to our door and everything resolved... (They were Great!). Only warning is that you MUST follow the directions up to this cabin, or risk driving up a very precarious route.... (Stay off of Klevar rd, and stick to Stepping Stone and Emerald Loop to get there). Also,,, One of the security guards at the gate was unnecessarily rude to a couple of our guests about vehicles that had been registered in the system, but again, Our agents from Summit stepped in and this Was resolved Immediately... We will definitely be back!

We brought our young adults group from church. Layout worked great, cabin was beautiful and private, and the amenities were awesome. I would recommend this cabin to any group.

Catonya Scott (Birmingham, AL) - 01/09/2015   5/55/55/55/55/5

We had our family 2014 Christmas vacation here and it was absolutely beautiful!!! The pictures online don't do this cabin any justice. When we walked in the door it was breath taking. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful place. The only con was that the drive way can be very challenging some roads are paved others are nit. But once you make it to Big Bear Lodge nothing else seems to matter. 🙂

Laurie (Cornelius, NC) - 09/28/2014   4/54/54/54/54/5

The house is beautiful as our the views. The kids and guys loved the arcade game. We didn't spend much time in the house but it had everything we needed. The only issue is getting there, the driveway is no joke so just be ready!

Michael Dee (Amelia, OH) - 04/24/2014   5/55/55/55/55/5

The house was great. Beautiful. Plenty of space in the house. Overall a great experience and would definitely stay there again, especially for the price.

Jeremy R (Lula, GA) - 11/27/2013   5/55/55/55/55/5

Nice cabin and great views. The drive up the mountain takes some getting use to but is worth it. Thanks for great customer service. My only complaint was the downstairs temperature is controlled by the main level and it gets a little cold down there.

Megan Wilson (Madison, AL) - 11/18/2013   5/55/55/55/55/5

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin! There were 10 adults who stayed for the weekend and we had more than enough space! Beds were nice, kitchen was great for cooking! We were very pleased with our experience!!

We had a wonderful time at the Big Bear Lodge cabin. We certainly don't have hills in NY like you do in TN, but it only took a few trips up and down the mountain to feel comfortable making the drive. It's the first time in a long time that all our boys and their families have been together for a few days. Two of them trailered their motorcycles to the cabin and one rented a trike from the Harley store in town and took their dad on a four-hour bike ride, ending with the "Tail of the Dragon." They had a ball. We, of course, did Dollywood, the Christmas Shop, Motor Cross and so much more. We also had a guided tour of the National Forest with lots of "hands on" nature for the kids. This is a great place, with great staff to right any wrongs along the way with just a phone call. Hope we can return sometime soon.

My group and I had a wonderful vacation staying at the Big Bear Lodge. We love the beautiful mountain view from the balcony. The cabin itself is very beautiful. Thanks Debbie for providing excellent customer service. She always there whenever I called. I'm looking forward to another vacation in the future in the Great Smoky Mountains and would like to book through Summit Cabin Rentals again.
