We loved Appalachian Sunset it had an awesome view cabin was very roomy and had great deck space. Cabin will even be better when downstairs area is completed. We have stayed in shagbark a few times and love that area. Summit Cabins are always clean have no complaints . Will stay thru Summit Cabin Rentals in future.

Great views, very nice cabin for the most part , basement isnt finished, so I didnt want to have my kids in the pool table area playing with ppl above them walking around and having pieces of insulation falling down , lights around the hotub would be great , but crystal at summit was a great help , and took care of us will definitely be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Pigeon Forge and especially doing business with Summit Cabin Rentals. The original cabin that we booked (Living on Mountain Time) became unavailable a week before our trip which happened to be on a very busy holiday weekend. There was a maintenance issue that was no fault of Summit Cabins. The willingness to help move and accommodate our group to a different cabin by Charlene was truly appreciated and a level of customer service often not seen in our world today. Thank you Charlene for helping us, for truly caring and getting us situated. Appalachian Sunset(3BR) delivered for our trip, even offering a bear sighting. We will for sure return again and hope to stay at our original choice (4BR) or perhaps one of your other larger cabins. We would absolutely choose Summit Cabin Rentals again for future stays.

We had a great time. Our home was beautiful. We lost power twice but that was due to storms. Thank you

Beautiful cabin with a great view of mountains. Clean and nicely decorated. No WiFi which is great when you want to get away from work and social media.

We always stay at Summit when we\'re in the Smokies, but my wife and I went to Destin for our 25th wedding anniversary, long story short we had to leave two days early due to the hurricane. On short notice driving out of Florida I called Debbie with Summit and she took care of us as always. We drove to Pigeon Forge and finished our trip. Thanks Debbie!!!!

Best family trip! The cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. I would definitely stay in the Appalachian again! Only suggestions, put a large rug underneath the pool table or finish the flooring in the basement as it’s freezing down there when trying to play pool, also the master bedroom mattress could use a update. Thanks for the amazing view and stay! We will see you next summer for sure!

We had a BLAST at this cabin. With us getting ready to start building our home this long weekend is most likely going to be our only vacation this year soooo it was nice to relax and enjoy the views at this cabin. The little gated community, Shagbark, is just the most quaint area. It is homey and cozy and the little creek that runs alongside the road is makes the drive that much more enjoyable. The Cabin itself was great for our family and friends. We had 6 adults, 2 teenagers and a little dachshund. We were all comfortable and happy. The rooms are a good size, the 3 restrooms were a great addition, the open living room/dining area/kitchen is where we spent most of our time. We loved being able to cook meals, watch TV, relax and easily travel out to the deck. Speaking of cooking the house is equipped with all kinds of cooking ware. We were comfortable and cozy and even lit a small fire. It was just so relaxing. The Parkway is only about a 15-20 minute drive through the GORGEOUS Tennessee country side. The route will spit you out on Wears Valley Road which I personally think is a great location in the middle of everything. With a positive review I always like to post one or two things that could be improved. With this cabin the parking is a little tricky at times. We drove 3 separate vehicles and at one point had a 4th car there from friends visiting in the area. While the cabin clearly states there is optimum room for 3 cars...try to plan ahead if you have more than that as we did. It wasn\'t too much of an issue...we just squeezed the cars closer together and made it work. The other improvement I would suggest is a light source around the hot tub. In the guest book there were several mentions of bears climbing up on the porch. That is not something I would want to encounter while in the pitch dark in a hot tub. We remedied this situation by using the candles that were located on the mantle on the main floor and set them on the railing around the tub. There wasn\'t tons of light but it was enough and definitely set a relaxing mood. Overall, I would MOST DEFINITELY stay in the this cabin again, I will MOST DEFINITELY suggest it to others and I want to THANK YOU for opening up your home to us. We had a wonderful time, your cabin was the focal point of it all and this trip meant more to us than you could ever know. Thanks -Dana Mize

Cabin was comfortable for our group of 7. We enjoyed seeing the bears. Mountain driving was thrilling. The area has lots of activities for all ages. To make your stay better, bring condiments with you. The hot tub was enjoyed by everyone.

Absolutely LOVED this cabin, would definitely recommend it, and will stay again in the future!! The only thing I can think of, would be to add lighting around the hot tub, it\'s too dark for late night soaks after sightseeing all day. Otherwise, awesome cabin!!

Cheri Ingle (SAINT CLAIR, MO) - 07/20/2015   5/55/55/55/55/5

We had a fantastic time. Cabin was amazing and secluded...perfect getaway. Just minutes from pigeon forge, sevierville, and Gatlinburg to keep entertained but very private with gorgeous mountain views that were wonderful to wake up to beautiful sunrises with those you love.

Cathleen Bacarella (Farmington, MI) - 05/30/2015   5/55/55/55/55/5

Spent an unforgettable week to celebrate my 60th birthday at your cabin. The sunsets alone were just gorgeous. Loved every minute of our stay and will be back soon to claim our 250 mile pin. Did 40 plus miles this trip and are just short of 190 miles total. We will return to Appalachian Sunset either this Fall or next Spring (or both) to hit our milestone. Thanks again for a great week!!

Taylor Hancock (Bethlehem, GA) - 04/24/2015   4/54/54/54/54/5

We had a great time at the Appalachian Sunset. We loved the hot tub and the pool table. Everything was that we need was supplied for us. Its a beautiful cabin and I would recommend it to families. Thank you Summit Cabin Rentals. We will be renting from you again.

Dennis Lee Ward (Cincinnati, OH) - 10/26/2014   5/55/55/55/55/5

your cabin was really nice we had 6 people in our party, wonderful views of the mountains and easy accessible from the main road, we had to call for a garbage p/u and propane and they were right out, I have to say one of the guest post we read recently of the cabin was pretty darn discouraging! but for all future renters it was nothing like the comments they made of this cabin!! I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to experience the mountains in 1st class style, I want to thank the owners for giving our family a wonderful vacation in your cabin with all the great memories, the ward family Cincinnati ohio

Denise Tedder and Joyce Flowers (Johnsonville, SC) - 08/04/2014   4/54/54/54/54/5

Cabin was really nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The view was not as great as we expected but I believe that could be corrected by a little landscaping. We checked in late night and had no issues getting in @ the security gate or with using the lock box. There were even lights left on for us at check in! We had an issue with the hot tub but Summit made up for that with tickets for the entire group @ Lumberjack Feud; not only tickets but premium seating tickets. WE really enjoyed the show.

courtney lavender (simpson, WV) - 04/18/2014   5/55/55/55/55/5

We were very pleased with our cabin and its view. It was close to all of the attractions but out far enough to make us feel like we were away. Our only complaints were that the master bed was very uncomfortable. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Don Sullivan (Germantown, TN) - 03/16/2014   5/55/55/55/55/5

We loved our cabin. It was authentic log construction with all the luxuries you could want. Great views, & a great value.

Daniel Robertson (Morristown, TN) - 11/04/2013   5/55/55/55/55/5

The cabin was perfect for our honeymoon!! The view is what caught our attention on your web site & pictures just don't do it justice!!! Everything was great except the wasp's but they were only there the 1st night then we never saw again, and the hot tub really should be moved to the opposite end of the deck & a light or two put in. We came in after dark most nights & couldnt really enjoy a night soak in the tub. Trees close to cabin also blocked view of mountains from hot tub. Anyways, the bed in main room was so comfy! Loved the view from the top floor game room!!! Thank y'all!!
