We had a wonderful time at Swimming in Seclusion. Our family of 8 was very comfortable in the cabin. Our granddaughters (9 and 10) really enjoyed the pool. The cabin was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook with and there were plenty of dishes. The Mountain view is beautiful. It was very clean and away from all the business of town. It was perfect for us. We would definitely recommend staying in this cabin.

Our second trip to the cabin. A great place to stay! Teenagers were happy with all the extra amenities! Making a good trip for the adults! Thank you!

Ann Traeger (Moscow, PA) - 06/25/2019   5/55/55/55/55/5

Let me start by saying that the highlight of the stay was the indoor pool. The kids just loved it!The Summit Rental Agency did a pretty good job of trying to accommodate our needs. But, the area around the pool was unbelievable slippery. Our kids (not running) fell several times. I think for liability purposes, the owners need to put something on the floor to help with that. Unfortunately, the cabin did not live up to the description. I think the owners need to go there and reassess their rental and make some changes. Upon our arrival the smell of the cabin was overwhelming! Detergent used..propane from fireplace still on, someone had smoked in the house, and a strong mildew small. Part of the odor did come from the basement/pool. I called the agency immediately and told them we were having a reaction to something in the house and their solution was 2 spray cans of Fabrese. When we open the doors and window to let the air in so did the wasps. Apparently there were a few nests on the porch/propane tank on side of house. This meant that we couldn\'t sit outside and enjoy the view/open windows for the odor. The agency did send out an exterminator which eliminated that problem. We were told to call immediately if we smelled gas in the house. Well, we did, but no one returned our calls. Finally, I got someone to send the maintenance man out to shut the unit off. They did and the gas smell went away, but no one told us what the problem was. That would have been comforting. We lost 2 days with headaches in the house. We found several scorpions in the house which we had not expected, but were told they are not harmful and not to worry. We are in the country after all. But the broken glass in the dishwasher/the moth stuck to the refrigerator tray where you get the ice cubes, the dollar store broom with no dishpan to clean up, 1 tumbler glass (the rest were all wine), no pot holders, and the absolute worse frying pan I have ever seen. You wouldn\'t let your dog drink out of it. The other frying pan was a cheap copper pan that everything sticks. When I reported this to the agency sent new tumbler glasses, plenty of pot holders, more towels (not enough for 9 people) and a new copper frying pan. The flipper of teflon didn\'t flip an egg or pancake. Not one container to put left overs either. So, I felt misled by thinking it was a well equipped kitchen. The window sills were full of bugs, the Master bath tub had NOT been cleaned properly. I do understand it is a cabin in the woods (I own one myself in the Poconos) but for the price I paid, it fell short of my expectations. The other issue is the driveway. One thing I had mentioned to the agency was that it was important that we had an easy driveway. The pictures are very misleading. It was a very very difficult driveway to maneuver. Very steep and when you backed down (you almost had to) you were on a curve in the road that an on coming car could hit you. We had to post someone at the top of the hill to make sure it was ok. Next renter beware. I also inquired about the garbage pick up. I was told Thursday. I reconfirmed with agency and was told they would be out. They never showed till the next day. Unfortunately, the bins were full and had to leave some garbage on top in a bag but when they never showed up, the animals and birds did. The cabin is also much small that you would expect for 9 people. Seating for 8 (where do the other 2 people sit)? Living room only seats 5 where do the other 4 people sit when it is raining with thunder and lightening out? It is a small kitchen with no table. No place to sit in the game room. Apparently someone had smoked as well. We found a Marlboro cigarette, several bb\'s and dog hair. I wasn\'t sure till I found the dogge poop bag outside the front steps on the side if it was cat or dog, but it was a long haired dog apparently, I mentioned to the agency that a refund of some sort should be applied under the circumstances. I have not heard anything back. Ann Traeger PS...I have documentation in the way of photos and videos of everything I mentioned above.

We liked how our neighbors were far enough away that we still enjoyed our privacy. Kids had a great time playing in the pool. We’re impressed with the extra perks, such as pool toys and the blower. Kitchen had plenty of extras for our use and the vast supply of dishes and cookware were more than we expected. Definitely want to return!

Staff was great from initial contact. Cabin was perfect. Very clean. Private pool was great, kids loved it. Had great views. WiFi was iffy on the top deck. They called when we arrived to make sure we had everything, which I appreciated. Will definitely rent again. Great trip.

We had a wonderful time at Swimming in Seclusion. I will say be prepared because it is WAY high on a mountain. The cabin itself was great... pool, hot tub, sauna and games.

Dustin (Marion, IN) - 01/27/2019   5/55/55/55/55/5

Me and my family had a great time at this cabin. The kids especially enjoyed the personal pool. The cabin was clean and ready upon our arrival and the staff provided easy to follow instructions and directions prior to arrival. Will definitely be staying with Summit Cabin Rentals again.

This cabin is so nice and clean! This was our first time with Summit cabin rentals! Upon arriving I needed a code to unlock the door to pool which was nice because of my grandchildren. As soon as called and left the message they returned call in just a few minutes! Very nice people!! I will use Summit again!
