We stayed in Black Bear Hideaway for our one year anniversary and it was a great cabin! Everything was clean, and very well maintained. We had rain the whole weekend we were there so we were only able to utilize the hot tub once. There was no overhead cover for the hot tub, which would have been a nice feature to provide sun coverage, but also for the light drizzle we had the time we were able to use it. But it was very clean and warm! The only down fall we had, and I don't know if there is any helping it, is watch out for lady bugs and stink bugs. There were alot of them around the windows and on the floors. Also be careful with the dishes and coffee pot, there were a few in there too. After sweeping a little and washing some of the dishes before using, they werent a problem though! Overall we enjoyed our stay, the wifi worked great and it was a very good cabin for the price!

The Black bear hideaway cabin is very nice and immaculate With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, we had plenty of room. Each bedroom is euipped with a large television and the livingroom television is huge. You can watch Netflix; however, with the rain, the movie kept having to reload, which was annoying. There were no issues when it wasn’t raining, and we had no problems with the cable channels — raining or not. We loved the front porch and sat outside often. Our bed was super comfortable. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom, which wasn’t mentioned in the description, but nice that it was there. The roads leading to the cabin were an easy drive. The road the cabin was one is single-lane road, but there’s land on both sides (no big, mountain drop offs). We encountered no one else on the road, coming or going. The driveway to the cabin is extremely steep, with an approximate 90 degree turn (not a sharp turn, but more of a lazy turn) as you are still climbing to get to the cabin. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The Summit Cabin Rental employees that I dealt with were extremely helpful and very nice, especially Debi.
