2. Great Smoky Easter Arts and Crafts Show
Every year near Easter, you can enjoy the Great Smoky Easter Arts and Crafts Show. People from all over come to see artists and craftsmen show off their talents. This event takes place at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, and there are hundreds of booths set up where people can sell their handmade items. 3. Blooms and Tunes at Anakeesta
Anakeesta has started a spring tradition you won’t want to miss called Blooms and Tunes. Just purchase a regular admission ticket to Anakeesta, then ride to the top of the mountain. All throughout Firefly Village, you will find incredible art installations, including a 20-foot daisy. The gardens will be decked out in colorful flowers. There are specialty dishes and drinks at the restaurants you won’t want to miss. Then, on Thursday through Sunday throughout the event, you can listen to live music performances.
4. Pigeon Forge Rod Run
One of the most popular things to do in the Smoky Mountains is the Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. This always takes place on a weekend in April, but the dates change every year. Usually, the event is set up at The LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge. Guests will get to walk around and enjoy looking at classic cars and speak to other car enthusiasts. There are also awards given out to different car owners.
5. Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage
Another popular thing to do in the Smoky Mountains in April is the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage. Experts take guests on guided hikes to show wildflowers along the many hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
