Ole Red Restaurant Opening Soon

So, by now you probably know one of the biggest ongoing developments in the Smokies has been the announcement that we will getting a branch of celebrity musician Blake Shelton’s “‘Ole Red” restaurant and music venue hybrid right in downtown Gatlinburg. That’s no longer news, but what IS news is that we now have a completion date to expect – March 2019!

Recommended Attractions on the Parkway – Great Smoky Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Pigeon Forge is known for its dinner and show entertainment, but there’s only one like the Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show just off the parkway on Teaster Lane. You’ve probably heard of murder mystery shows before, it’s a very audience-interactive performance where you mingle and eat dinner with actors portraying characters as part of the theme show they’re doing and, of course, solve a murder mystery while you’re at it. The Murder Mystery Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge has three shows that are performed at different times of the week and year.

Recommended Attractions on the Parkway – Flashback Elvis & Country Classics

Elvis and many of his friends and peers are still alive in the Smoky Mountains with the Flashback Tribute to Elvis & Country Classics show. Hear some of the best that classic rock and country gave us in the generations before this one as performed by tribute artists who embody Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, George Jones and Eddit Rabbitt. For those who want to see the young talent we have in the Smokies take on tried and true music, this show is a must-see. Located at the Main Event theater in Pigeon Forge.

Recommended Attractions on the Parkway – Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud

The Hatfields and the McCoys are the best known feudin’ families in the United States, and nearly just as famous here in the South is this comic adaptation of their saga in just off the parkway in Pigeon Forge! This is a dinner and show attraction, which means that you’ll get quite a screwball hillbilly comedy as you enjoy an all-you-can-eat selection of chicken, barbecue pork, soup, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, coleslaw and more.

Out at Walden’s Landing on the parkway of Pigeon Forge is a most peculiar type of attraction that you can see from some distance – The Tomb Egyptian Adventure awaits you and your group with a 45-minute Pharaoh-themed escape game. This was the first escape game to be brought to the Tennessee Smokies and it still stands as one of the most unique of the brand. Solve puzzles, explore to find the way out and get bombarded with high quality special effects. Definitely an attraction to consider for all types of getaways!

Recommended Attractions on the Parkway – Rainforest Adventures Zoo

One type of attraction we are comparatively lean on in Sevier County are zoos where a great exotic selection of animals are brought together in safe harbor to allow families and interested parties the chance to see them and learn about them. Rainforest Adventures just off the parkway in Sevierville is a thankful exception to this and folks of all ages will get to enjoy the many and many different types of animals they will get to see there. Porcupines, Kinkajous, Lemurs, Caiman Crocodiles, Tortoises, Snakes, Frogs, Cockatoos, Parrots and more all await.
