Who doesn’t love a Fall festival in the Smoky Mountains? Wears Valley will be continuing its tradition of presenting one awesome Autumn jubilee out in the heart of the Smoky Mountains in October with the Wears Valley Fall Fest! This year, the Wears Valley Fall Fest is going on between October 18th to the October 20th.
Some surprise news about Winterfest this year as reported by WVLT.com: “SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) — Sevier County leaders announced they’ll delay the start of Smoky Mountain Winterfest this year.
The September “Rod Runs”, as we refer to in local parlance, is actually two different Rod Runs that we have running one week and then another. If you’ve been to the Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, it’s basically that except with double the length.

So, by now you probably know one of the biggest ongoing developments in the Smokies has been the announcement that we will getting a branch of celebrity musician Blake Shelton’s “‘Ole Red” restaurant and music venue hybrid right in downtown Gatlinburg. That’s no longer news, but what IS news is that we now have a completion date to expect – March 2019!
The turkey’s been cooked, the potatoes’ been mashed, the corn’s been hashed and the feast has come. It was another wonderful Thanksgiving for us and many others for 2018 and now the only thing we have left to think about there is the last of the cleanup. Now we put our attention towards the Christmas celebrations in the Smokies, and the first real activities that bring the Christmas spirit to life in December will be the handful of parades that we can look forward to.
